Abstract:

Pattern matching algorithms are the heart of many network intrusion detection systems. Intrusion detection systems (IDS) have become widely recognized as powerful tools for identifying, deterring and deflecting malicious attacks over the network. Network intrusion detection system is used to detect network attacks by identifying attack patterns. In this project, memory efficient pattern matching algorithm which can significantly reduce the memory requirement. A hardware algorithm for efficient data storage and fast retrieval is used to compress, store and retrieve attack. Our algorithms reduce the size of the rules to fit on chip and enables intrusion detection to run at line rates and faster. They should be as fast as possible to ensure occhiali da sole ray ban outlet system scalability into networks of ever-increasing speeds. Concurrently they must enforce security so that they are not susceptible to algorithmic complexity attacks.
